Meet the team

Rahab Ministries was founded in 1989, and directed by Patricia Green until 2004. The Ministry continues to grow under a strong leadership team of Thai staff and foreign volunteers. Rahab Ministries works in association with World Outreach and Biengwaung Foundation.

Team leaders

Susitorn Niwetrangsan
Susitorn Niwetrangsan is the on-site Pastor of Rahab Ministries. Susitorn oversees the Bible teaching, discipling, prayer and worship at Rahab.

Susitorn's vital role involves discipling each of the women who come through our program as well as providing support and encouragement to all of the staff at Rahab.



Chanaprai Wangkhampha (Prai)
Prai is the manager of the Rahab Bazaar, the income generation project of Rahab Ministries. She overseas the production, sales, and distribution of all Rahab products.

Prai is also involved in researching and developing new products for the women to make by hand and sell not only in Thailand but all over the world.



Long term volunteers

Alex and Sarah van Meygaarden
Alex and Sarah van Meygaarden are from New Zealand.  Alex was a secondary school teacher in New Zealand before joining Rahab Ministries in Thailand.  Alex's main responsibility at Rahab is office management and responding to all incoming emails.  Alex is also the general handyman at the office in Patpong and Rahab House.

Sarah's background is in mental health nursing and she holds a counselling degree. Sarah is part of the outreach team and is responsible for prayer bulletins, newsletters and all communication for Rahab Bazaar.  Both Alex and Sarah are house parents at Rahab House and enjoy being part of the Rahab family.

Masha Thorne
Masha Thorne is  from Washington, D.C. in the United States. Masha is a student and had a gap year at Rahab. Masha lived at Rahab House and likes the sense of community there.


Laura Butterworth

Laura Butterworth is from Colorado. Laura has worked as a hairstylist in the States for over 4 years and hopes to offer some of her experience to the other stylists in the Rahab Salon.



Emma Kenan
Emma Kenan from Tauranga, New Zealand. Emma worked as a nurse before coming to Rahab where she was always smiling and laughing.  Emma now lives in Hamilton, New Zealand.
